The Fraternity of Extraordinary Investigators is a loosely organized group of paranormal investigators that has been collecting information on strange happenings since the early days of the British Empire. File 2231 is the file number is allocated to the Sisters of Our Lady of Extraterrestrial Lament – 24 Hour Orphanage and Casino. Located on the Nevada Highways far away from anything. Run by mysterious sisterhood of groovy mini-skirted nuns saving the world from threats ripped from the tabloid headlines.
I will be exploring the world of File 2231 and and potentially other shadowy organizations followed by the Fraternity.
The inspiration of The Sisters is from schlocky 70s Sci Fi Films like Invasion of the Bee Girls and the Grindhouse Films like Faster Pussycat Kill Kill. The idea is to fill the page with weird supernatural thrills, non-stop action, short short skirts and go-go boots. My writing inspiration draws heavily on the pulp tradition which I think is the perfect fit for comics.
